SARATOGA INDEPENDENT SCHOOL IS A SCOOP PARTNER.
Last year, while my son attended preschool there, I was asked by Saratoga Independent School to produce a video series. The goal was to educate our community on what makes Saratoga Independent School so unique. During this time, I got the opportunity to work with the teachers, administrators and students very closely. What stood out most during my time at S.I.S. was the student / teacher relationships that were formed. The small class sizes make it possible for each child to be heard, and for their unique learning styles to be considered.
Where I saw this play out most was in the children’s confidence. Whenever I was asked to work with students, I was truly blown away. Having a few pre-teens of my own, I understand how tough it can be, at this tricky age, to use your voice. These children were unlike most that I’ve met. And I’m confident that it’s Saratoga Independent School’s Philosophy playing out:
In the video series, we touched on several aspects of an S.I.S. education, from preschool through Middle School. We covered everything from their commitment to Healthy Living, Community, and Diversity Equity and Inclusion. And we chatted about some unique aspects of their curriculum, like the use of Thematic Learning and the Responsive Classroom approach.
